SO I was being lazy and did not write about last weekend and the incredible busy fun that I had. My friends and I along with 40 other people from "Adventure Korea" joined in on the crab festival in Ulgin City. Being on the east coast, it was a long bus ride, but we jumped out and participated in making the world's longest gimbap which was over 70m long! I gobbled up some delicious crab legs washed down with beer and soju. Afer another long bus ride, we arrived in Goryeong City where we were met by the townpeople who welcomed us all with a delicious dinner. It was a small village and everyone there was so friendly. We stayed in a homestay and the grandmother there was very nice. There was nine of us who stayed in the house and although the grandmother did not stay in the house with us, she was back and forth during the night to check up on us. But not before enjoying beer and roasted marshmellows in front of the fire! The morning was fresh and it was so nice to be out of the city for a while! I enjoyed the simple life of the little village and so a few of us played basketball and then we floated down the river on a bamboo raft. After saying goodbye to the friendly townfolk we then continued on to the rest if the festival. Here, we took in the sights and sounds and I got down and dirty with potter's clay and made a lovely vase. After words we went to a greenhouse and picked stawberries that were so red, ripe and sweet. Delicious! You can never have enough strawberries!
